Courtney

When she was a newborn, I would impatiently wait for her parents to go do something so I could babysit... I'd rock her and sing to her and pretend she was mine. I'd check on her a thousand times an hour to make sure she was still breathing in her crib. Life happened, and our paths parted when she was young - but I was able to watch her grow through pictures and updates from her mother, my best friend.

I can't tell you what a bittersweet feeling it is to see how beautiful she has become. Knowing that she is graduating makes me feel SO OLD! She's full of sass and has dreams and goals and it's just an awesome thing to be back in Texas to watch the rest of her life unfold... (and moreso to finish growing old with her mother, my best friend.)

Congratulations, Courtney! Seniors '13!

Bye Bye Leroy!

There are individuals that you meet in life that truly make a difference in how you see things. For me, Leroy was one of them. It's nothing specific that he said or did - it's just who he is... the atmosphere that he brings with him wherever he goes! We were Stingers together, and now we both serve the Warhawks. Today, our squadron gathered to celebrate his final slight here at Spangdahlem.

I wish nothing but the best for him and his wife and their new baby boy. There is no doubt in my mind that great things await this awesome family! Bye-bye Leroy!!

Phelps, the second time around!

It was a couple years ago that I first met Dock and Cori... Unbeknownst to me, Cori had tried to get me to take newborn photos for their newest addition back in 2010 - but I was on maternity leave of my own at the time! (sorry Cori!) It was a great pleasure to meet up with them again today, to see how big the boys had gotten, and to meet their newest! (I might have found a future husband for our Victoria!)

Thanks for calling on me Phelps family!! I'm glad the weather behaved for us :D

Gray

Thanks guys for a wonderful afternoon at Echternach Lake. You've got a gorgeous daughter, and you've all definitely brought a lot to my portfolio!

So hard to pick the best to post here... but I'll try. Enjoy!

Warhawks Return

I'm partial... The Warhawks are a collaboration of Stingers and Hawks, and I was a previous Stinger. Left of the Stingers are a select few who have not yet PCS'd - and I hold onto them tightly! The Stingers were a close family, and we experienced some of the most awesome moments during such a short few years.

Returning from Iraq were a couple of my favorite Stingers, just this past Tuesday! I was asked if I could come out and try to capture some of the emotion that boils over when loved ones come back after so much time away.  I was overjoyed, and jumped at the opportunity to SEIZE THE DAY!

Taegan, waiting for Daddy...

Ms. Camden, all grown up after 6 months away...
Patriotism at it's finest!
Boar, not shutting down QUITE fast enough...
Come here, you!
Some pictures don't need a caption...
(I can't spell the sound of eating up sugar!)
Welcome home Shady!

Love

Another milestone in the life of a photographer... My very first Senior Session! Weather started out iffy - we cancelled the morning... but after a long enough dry spell we went for it! A big shout-out to Sarah for choosing me as her photographer... she gave me valuable experience that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise! ENJOY your senior year, good luck with graduation, and may God bless you in your future endeavors! Great things are in store for you!
